This Saturday, visitors will be able to tour a new model home a StonesThrow. This Grand Re-opening should attract a lot of interest, as 4 offers have already been made on some of the homes. Two and a half years after Bellevue’s first nightclub opened, Vertigo Lounge & Grill has been evicted from its location at the 989 Elements building.

The Asian fusion restaurant Zen Asian Bistro, downstairs from Vertigo, has also been evicted. Zen Asian Bistro’s location was subleased from the owner of Vertigo Lounge & Grill. White butcher paper and King County legal paperwork cover the doors of both restaurants.

This is not the first retail location to go out of business at 989 Elements in the few years that retail space has been available for lease there. Deyss Salon & Spa went out of business last year and still has an empty space available.

2010 Blue C Sushi Eating Contest

Compete to become the “Store Champion” of the Blue C Sushi Bellevue Store. On April 10th this contest will determine who can eat the most plates of cucumber rolls in a 10-minute period. Winners will receive a $50 Blue C Sushi gift card and additional Blue C Sushi gear. The “Store Champion” will then advance to the final round to go up against the 5 other Blue C Sushi stores and their winners at the original Fremont location in mid April. The grand prize winner will receive an official Blue C Sushi Eating Competition Winner T-Shirt, a Blue C plate set, and $200 cash.

New Trivia Night in Bellevue Begins March 24th

Blue C Sushi/Boom Noodle in Bellevue is re-vamping their trivia night by brining the folks at “Geeks Who Drink” to host Trivia, or as they call them The Pros.

Trivia night will continue to take place in the Nomu Lounge (above Blue C & Boom) every Wednesday from 7pm – 9pm with prizes awarded to the winners.

Over the weekend One Main Street hosted their 1st public event to preview their newly completed condominiums. The 57 luxury homes on Main Street have 37 unique floor plans. Although some floor plans may be similar, the views and patio/decks range from floor to floor. One feature that stood out at One Main Street, compared to its competitors, was the generous size of their patio/decks offered. Homes the size of 800 square feet have patios that stretch almost 300 square feet. Larger homes feature patios that wrap around the whole residence.

Although the weather was cloudy over the weekend, the views of Lake Washington were still enjoyable. Warm weather in the summer coupled with clear skies and a great patio will make One Main Street a great place to entertain guests. Some of the features that all homes are outfitted with include hardwood floors, 100% wool carpeting in bedrooms, and Bosch stainless steel appliances. The location of Main Street will make this an even more desirable place to live.

Prices at One Main Street start at a more affordable price point than many of the other newly constructed condos on the market right now. 1-bedroom and open 1-bedroom homes start at $349,900. 2-bedroom homes start at $499,900. This comes two months after “Twisted Cork” changed its name to “0/8 Seafood Grill & Twisted Cork” and made the decision to offer a new more affordable menu.

It is currently unknown what will happen to both Twisted Cork & STIR’s locations. Both local restaurants were active in the community and will be missed.

Dog In The Park hot dog stand is coming to Bellevue Square.  It will be located outside next to Red Robin on Bellevue Way.

As the ‘coming soon’ sign indicates, they have been chosen as Seattle Weekly’s ‘Staff Choice’ for the best hot dog in Seattle.  They currently have a stand located in downtown Seattle between Pike St. and Westlake Ave. as well.

This location has previously been the site of Baskin-Robbins’ outside location during the summer months.

The event that’s in its 3rd year will have tickets for sale beginning March 11th at bellevuejazz.com.

On March 19th and 20th The Shops at The Bravern will host “Spring Forward with Style,” an event to celebrate the changing season. Enjoy champagne and handcrafted cheeses at Neiman Marcus, David Lawrence, Jimmy Choo, Piazza Sempione, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Tory Burch.

Neiman Marcus will have in-store event specials to earn gifts on specific purchases.

The Bravern’s outdoor shopping center will hugely benefit from the weather starting to change from rain to shine. We look forward to enjoying a warm spring and summer at The Bravern.

As the 10-story project inches toward completion, this event represents one of the 1st opportunities to tour the 3 model homes and other finished units.
